The Hunter’s Heart
Clara Thatcher knows how to disappear. She’s been doing it since the man she married became something unnatural and left her running for her life with her daughters in the back seat and nothing but escape on her mind.
In the quiet Indiana town of Willow Creek, she meets Eli Fisher, a rough-souled mechanic who doesn’t flinch when she keeps her walls high.
What draws them together is magnetic, unexpected, and impossible to ignore. But Eli’s past is darker than he lets on, shaped by the kind of violence most people never see. And when Clara’s past finds her again, it comes hungry.
This time, Clara isn’t running. She’s ready to fight—for her daughters, her life, and the love she never thought she’d find.
The Night We Met
Sylvie and Wyatt’s Story Begins
May 5, 2026
Sylvie Hart never expected her life to change the night she met Wyatt Rowe.
She’s grounded, private, and quietly carrying more than anyone realizes. Love has always felt complicated, something meant for other people, not for a woman who’s learned to survive by being steady and self-contained.
Wyatt Rowe is a world-famous actor with a carefully guarded life and a past marked by devastating loss. To the public, he’s untouchable, confident, and desired. But beneath the image is a man who loves deeply, protects fiercely, and isn’t interested in anything that doesn’t matter.
When their worlds collide, the connection is immediate and consuming. What begins as an unexpected spark quickly becomes something neither of them can ignore. Wyatt doesn’t want a distraction. Sylvie doesn’t want something temporary. And neither of them is willing to pretend this is anything less than real.
Loving each other means navigating distance, fame, and the pressure of families who aren’t ready to let go. It means choosing devotion over caution and building a future that looks nothing like the lives they planned. For Sylvie, it means stepping into a world that watches her closely. For Wyatt, it means finally letting someone see the man behind the name.
The Night We Met is a contemporary romance about instant connection and the kind of love that feels like home even when it arrives unexpectedly. It’s the story of a man who knows what he wants and a woman who learns she deserves to be chosen without hesitation.
Hi, I’m Sarah.
I’m a librarian and former English teacher who has spent my life surrounded by stories. First in the classroom, now in the library, and always in the pages of the books stacked on my nightstand. Stories have been the through line of my life: the ones I taught, the ones I shared with students, the ones I read for comfort, and now, the ones I write.
I live in Indiana with my family, where most evenings you’ll find me on the sidelines, cheering for my daughters at their games. When I’m not writing, I’m usually curled up with a book (fantasy, romance, or horror… yes, horror) or sneaking in just one more chapter before bed.
My debut novel, The Hunter’s Heart, blends the kinds of stories I’ve always loved: romance with deep emotional stakes, a touch of small-town charm, and shadows of the supernatural waiting at the edge of the page. It’s the first book in The Fisher Chronicles, a series that’s as much about family and love as it is about the monsters that test them.
